Spaulding Square Craftsman

A small sunroom addition as well as the reconfiguration of the bedrooms and bathrooms of an historic (HPOZ) Craftsman home open the house to light and views.  Tall ceilings and clerestory windows bring light from the new addition into the existing home. Views are framed by new latticed headers, barn doors, etc.  The unique palette of materials and design reflect the owners’ tastes such as a colorful terrazzo floor in the master bath, New Yorker cover wallpaper in the library bath, and antique hardware for the new built-in cabinetry.  The exterior decking, railing, and stonework reinforce the whimsical take on this historic style.  Conversion and addition of the existing garage into an ADU was subsequently done.
